   A synonym of football-player, used by a wife to her husband in A Salute to the Great McCarthy, by Barry Oakley. During an argument she calls him ‘creep’, ‘leatherkicker’, ‘peasant’. The man concerned is from a small town in the bush, now living in the city and working as a professional footballer.
